Wellsville Police Reports for 2-4

February 4, 2014
The Review

A silver SUV was pulled over by police at an unspecified location at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 30 due to no rear license plate illumination. The driver, Justin Gunther, address not given, was found to have a suspended license and was cited for driving under suspension and no rear plate illumination. During a pre-tow inventory of the vehicle, a jar of "apple pie moonshine" was discovered behind the driver's seat. Gunther was also cited for an open container.

Police were dispatched to the Independence Square residence of Kristin Gage for the removal of an unwanted person, Samuel Ross. Gage told officers she had met Ross online a month ago, and he came to stay with her for a while. According to Gage, she asked him to leave and he refused until she threatened to call the police, at which point he unsuccessfully attempted to take her phone away from her, then left. A search of the area for Ross was negative. Police subsequently discovered that Ross is a parolee and contacted his parole officer in Akron.

Police responded to the Main Street residence of Misty Williams after receiving a phone call from her mother, Julie Tucker, stating that Williams was being assaulted by her boyfriend, Kyle Taylor. Officers arrived at Williams' home, where she told police that it was not her mother's business, she was fine and had, in fact, kicked Taylor. Williams had no visible injuries, and Taylor was nowhere to be found.
