The Review
Bitter cold temperatures coupled with some thawing have played havoc with water lines in the East Liverpool and Wellsville area in recent days. This break on Orchard Grove in East Liverpool was found after water began pouring down St. Clair Avenue. Water crews were working on it in the late afternoon. In Wellsville, a service line from the main to a curb box on Commerce Street broke, and Buckeye Water District crews were working to repair that line. According to a BWD spokesman, water service had to be shut off for customers between 10th Street and the southern part of the village for a couple of hours while the repairs were made, and he anticipated a boil order would be in place by last night. On a better note, a boil order that was in effect for Cincinnati, Belmont, Primrose and Forest Hills in Calcutta, and another on 9th Avenue in LaCroft, was lifted. (Photo by Jo Ann Bobby-Gilbert)
