In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a March 6 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Wade B. Spencer, 52, Front Street, Leetonia, cited with disrupting public service and obstructing official business for alleged repeated calls to 911 in Leetonia and slamming the door in the face of police, who came to serve him with a warrant, while his bulldog was biting a police officer's shoe.
A Feb. 6 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Kenneth A. Rummel, 55, West Street, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly stomping on the head of Lorraine Knight on the bedroom floor on Monday. He has a previous domestic violence conviction from 1995. He is also cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly going back to live in the home on West Street, East Palestine, where he had been ordered not to be via a protection order filed on Jan. 19.
A Feb. 6 preliminary hearing was set for Cody L. Jones, 24, Mill Street, Salineville, charged with burglary for allegedly taking a jewelry box from inside a home he entered on Jan 27.
A Feb. 6 pretrial was set for Charlene N. Schmidt, 21, Mill Street, Salineville, cited with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business for allegedly telling police rings were hers, which were eventually found to have been stolen.
