WELLSVILLE-Paul D. Howell of Wellsville, passed away, Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the Heritage Valley Beaver Hospice, following a lengthly illness.
Paul was born in Monroe County, Ohio, a son of the late Emmitt Howell and Bessie J. (Moore) Adney. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School Class of 1958. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1963-1965. Living most of his life in the area, Paul worked as a tractor driver for Weirton Steel, retiring in 2004, after 37 years.
Paul is survived by his wife: Pauline (Craig) Howell, whom he married on Sept. 20, 1963; a Son: Paul D. Howell II and his wife Tracy of Beavercreek, Ohio; a daughter: Julie Cline and her husband Eric of Chester W.Va.; three sisters: Frances Keenan of Stratton Ohio, Joan Taisey of Oregon, and Carol Cogley and her husband Simon of Hammondsville, Ohio; and six grandchildren: Paul D Howell III, Ashley Howell, Jeffrey Tice, Abigail Tice, Nicholas Tice, and Madison Cline.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 from 5-8 at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. In accordance with Mr. Howell's wishes, no funeral service has been planned. Burial will take place in Spring Hill Cemetery.
