John “Emmett” Snow III, 16

NEW CUMBERLAND- John "Emmett" Snow III, 16, of New Cumberland, died as a result of a vehicle accident on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.

He was born July 26, 1997 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of John E. (Amy) Snow Jr. of Chester and Julie Smith (David) McMichael of Chester.

Emmett was a sophomore at Oak Glen High School. He enjoyed hunting, raced 4 Wheelers and he loved working on the farm.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Reta and Dean Smith and paternal grandparents, John Snow Sr. and Robert Waugh.

Besides his parents, he leaves behind three sisters, Taneka Smith of Chester, Alyson Snow of New Cumberland and Mackenzie Bailey of New Cumberland; a niece, Raya Frischkorn; paternal grandparents, Linda Snow of Chester and Nancy Waugh of New Cumberland; maternal grandmother, Tina McMichael of Chester.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.

Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester, W.Va.
