Officers were called Wednesday morning to a home on St. Clair Avenue to remove Melissa R. Baena, 35, of that address after reports of her threatening family members. Ambulance personnel determined Baena was not a threat to herself, but officers said she continued being antagonistic to them and her family. Although reportedly warned several times to desist her behavior, Baena continued, according to reports. She was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Damarlon M. Wise, 25, Garfield Street, was charged with driving under suspension and possession of marijuana after an officer reported seeing a vehicle pull into a parking lot and being aware the registered owner had an outstanding warrant. A traffic stop was made and Wise was taken into custody on the warrant and additionally cited with the DUS charge. While inventorying the vehicle for tow, officers reported finding a baggy of suspected marijuana in the center console they said Wise admitted was his. His passenger, James Conrad, no age or address listed, was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.
