The Review
About 149 people in the Glenmoor area of St. Clair Township were without power several hours Tuesday after a large tree fell from a hillside along East Liverpool Road, striking power lines and knocking them to the ground and taking out electrical service with them when a line fuse blew out. The call came into AEP Ohio about 5:56 p.m., according to a spokesman at the scene, who said he expected power would be restored by 9 or 9:30 once the tree was removed and the line spliced and repaired. Glenmoor Fire Department responded to the scene to cut up the tree, which had also fallen across the roadway, which was blocked to traffic until it could be removed and the line repaired. Traffic was being re-routed onto side roads by fire department personnel. Jeff Snyder and a woman also were helping cut up and remove the branches. (Photo by Jo Ann Bobby-Gilbert)
