CALCUTTA -Run-of-mill spas offers manicures, pedicures, massages - all the services one might expect - but Indulge Into Bliss Day Spa isn't your run-of-mill type of spa.

Located in the Oakmont Plaza at 16761 St. Clair Ave., Indulge Into Bliss provides pampering for the mind, body and spirit with a range of services from a staff with diverse skill sets.

Indulge Into Bliss opened it current location last month and is owned and operated by Joey Buxton. An East Liverpool native, Buxton has worked at other local salons and spas and recently operated out of a another location in Calcutta until she outgrew that location. She has six years experience as a Esthetician, having graduated from the Casal Aveda Institute and Ohio Valley College of Massotherapy. She specializes as a accredited nail technician and massage therapist.

"We do just about everything except hair," said Buxton.

With the new location, Buxton recruited a skilled staff of six professionals with skills ranging from spray tan technician to Reiki master.

Cody Jackson, owner and operator of Sun on The Run mobile air brush tanning, plies his trade at Indulge Bliss. He specializes in "just off the beach" air brush tanning without the dreaded "orange look," starting at $35 for one tan.

Judy McComas brings her skills as a nail technician to the table, offering manicures, pedicures, manicure pedicure combinations and other services such as shellacking and shellac removal. Pedicures start at $25 and manicures at $20.

Melinda Stevenson and Chris Morrision lend their talents as licensed massage therapists with a wide range of massage options including warm stone, reflexology treatment, therapeutic deep tissue and couples massage packages. Half-hour full body massages start at just $25.

For the spiritual side of the mind body equation, Buxton employs the services of Reiki masters Mary Petrella, who is owner operator of Ancient Healing Arts, and Melinda Stevenson, who does double duty as Reiki master and massage therapist. Both are certified as Reiki masters and have been practicing and teaching the ancient art for many years. Reiki is Japanese stress reduction technique that deals with energy auras to promote healing.

"We work with the invisible- it's an energy system that surrounds the body," said Petrella.

Indulge Into Bliss offers facials as well with anti-aging, deep cleansing and hydrating facials, just to name a few. All facials include a massage of the face decollete, neck, hand and arms and start at just $30. Body waxing and angel card readings are also offered at prices affordable on any budget.

Customers can also choose from a wide variety of packages tailored to every occasion including wedding spa packages, bachelorette party packages and the ever-popular princess packages.

Indulge Into Bliss is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The business is closed Wednesdays. You can contact them by calling 330-385-1093, by email at indulgeintobliss@gmail.com or by following them on facebook.

At the end of the day, Buxton says her goal is to provide her customers with an oasis of relaxation where they can get away from all the stress of daily life.

"It's just a place for people to come and de-stress from the world for an hour and that's how I want it to be," said Buxton.
