Virginia Spooner

EAST LIVERPOOL-Virginia Rose Spooner, of East Liverpool, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 90.

Born in East Liverpool, Feb. 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Harry Murray and Florence Baker Murray Wilson. A member of the 1st Assembly of God Church which later became the Destiny House, she worked at the former Sterling China for over 35 years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ginger Brown of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, Janice Spooner of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and Nora Waggle, of Round Rock, Texas, as well as a son, Paul Thomas Spooner of Wellsville.

There are 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Monday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
