Why is it that Lisbon gets an Ohio sign that designates that community as historic?
There is only one community in our county that should be designated as historic, and it's not Lisbon. That town is Wellsville, founded in 1795, well before any other town in our county was thought of.
Wellsville was here before Ohio was here. Wellsville gets a marker that simply states that flatboats were once built here. Amazing.
