CHESTER - Delbert Duwayne Reed, 75, of Chester, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013.
He was born Aug. 14, 1938, in Jackson County, W.Va., a son of the late Clyde and Florence (Price) Reed.
Delbert was a retired bus driver for Hancock County Schools and was a member of the Chester -Newell Sportsman Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Janet (Murphy) Reed; a son, Donald Reed; two brothers, Delmar and Glenn Reed; and two sisters, Grace Wright and Elma Fisher.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie (Robert) Stephens of East Liverpool, Peggy (Mark) Moats of New Cumberland and Janet Lyn Reed of New Cumberland; four sons, Gerald (Donna) Reed of Chester, Clyde (Sonni) Reed of East Liverpool, Roger (Karen) Reed of Weirton and Delbert K. (Lisa) Reed of Chester; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Rudelle (Fred) Fisher of Wellsville.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013.
Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
