EAST LIVERPOOL - Loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Sarah C. "Sally" Louk, 66, passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver following a very brief illness.
Sally was the only child of Robert and Mary E. Van Fossen Davis and was born in East Liverpool on March 16, 1947.
Sally was still working as an administrative sales assistant at Homer Laughlin China in Newell where she had been employed for 36 years.
Alum of Oak Glen High School, her and her husband Dave Louk, who survives at home, attended the Boyce United Methodist Church in East Liverpool.
Sally's most precious times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as Nana.
In addition to her husband Dave, she will be saddle missed by her children, Mary Ann Dietz and her fiance Marty Laurich of Negley, Amy Bigelow and husband Scott of East Liverpool, and Rachel Councel and husband Hobie of Glenmoor; her grandchildren, Chelsey, and Kylie Dietz, Kayla Laurich, Sarah, Matthew, and Joshua (Brittany) Bigelow, and CJ, and Nicholas Councel; great-grandchildren, Ryan, and Kaleb Bigelow; and her special friend, Pat Shreve.
Sally's services will be held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Monday at 2 p.m. and will be conducted by her pastor, Al Talkington of the church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m.
