CHESTER - Jean L. Logston, 88, of Chester, passed away, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013.
She was born March 10, 1925, in Newell, a daughter of the late Robert and Estella (Kochart) Bennett.
Jean retired after working 37 years at Anchor Hocking and was a member of the Virginia Ave. Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer G. Logston; three brothers, Harold Bennett, Bob Bennett, Joe Bennett; and three sisters, Virginia Shroads, Dorothy Roach, and Edna Reed.
Surviving are three daughters, Sandra (Jack) Sayre of Chester, Sally Watson of Chester and Sue (Joe) Collins of Chester; three sisters, Mary Holcomb of Minerva, Shirley Mumaw of Chester and Phyllis Koons of Hammondsville; seven grandchildren, Pam, Kate, David "Pood", Donna, Michael, Bobbie Sue, and Kathy; 12 great-grandchildren, Brittney, Allie, Conner, Delaney, Ashleigh, Nate, Jayden, Abby, Mia, Roscoe, Reese, Andrew; and also by a new arrival due in March.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, Dec 20, from 2-7 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. David Roach will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester.
