Harold T. “Ted” Seevers, 84

EAST LIVERPOOL - Harold T. "Ted" Seevers, 84, of Calcutta - Smith Ferry Road, passed away at the Alliance Community Hospital at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Ted was born at East Liverpool, Ohio Aug. 21, 1929, a son of the late Alice Noland Seevers Conkle.

He retired from the Hall China Company after 45 years of service working in the management of the color room and in production control. A member of the Boyce United Methodist Church, Ted was a member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Welcome Class, he taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school and sang with the Boyce Men's Group.

A 1947 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Ted also enjoyed coaching church league basketball and little league baseball.

His wife, Dorothy Kane "Dottie" Seevers, whom he married Nov. 3, 1989, survives at home. Also surviving are a daughter, Becky Mosura, and her husband Dan, of Industry, Pa., and two sons, James Seevers, and his wife Deena, of Rogers, and Ralph Seevers of East Liverpool. There are three stepsons, William J. "Bub" Golba, and his wife Karen, of Wellsville, Ohio, Robert Golba, and his wife Annelle, of Windsor, Colorado, and Gerald "Jerry" Golba, and his wife Kathy, of Waldorf, Maryland.

Ted will be missed by his 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as his two brothers, Thomas Seevers, and his wife Joyce, of East Liverpool, and Gerald Seevers of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Myers and by one brother, Robert Seevers.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, where the family will be present from 3-8 p.m. Services are planned for Wednesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Reverend Alvin Talkington of the church officiating. Family and friends will then gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.

Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
