Just when you think no one cares, along came a mail carrier with a letter from my granddaughter who lives in town, across town.
It was in no envelope and didn't have proper postage. She drew a stamp on the paper. This mail carrier took her letter anyway and had it delivered to my address. I never dreamed it would get to me.
She asked the mail carrier to take the letter to "my maw-maw." He asked, "Is there a stamp on it?" and she said "I drew one on it."
She not only did it once, she did it twice.
I mailed her a return address and proper postage on the envelope so she could learn to do it right.
She's in the third grade at North Elementary, and is learning to keep in touch with loved ones. I'm so glad she chose me, her "maw-maw."
Thank you mail carrier, you did a good job and made my day.
