EAST LIVERPOOL - Paul L. Chamberlin, 86, formerly of Imperial Drive, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Nentwick Convalescent Center at 2:50 a.m. following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 5, 1927, at East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Leonard J. and Alice Fair Chamberlin. A lifetime area resident and member of the 1st Church of Christ (Disciples) in East Liverpool, he was a partner in the former Chamberlin Machine Shop. In 1982, he retired from the former Crucible Steel Company in Midland, Pa., after 19 years of service.
A United States Army veteran, he served during WWII in Panama as a Gun Crewman for the Coast Artillery. He served with the Harbor Defense of Crstobal, Panama. He was a member of the American Legion Post 374 .
His wife, Rose M. Cowey Chamberlin, whom he married Jan. 1, 1952, preceded him in death on April 6, 2008.
He leaves behind one brother, Richard R. Chamberlin and his wife, Blanche of Calcutta; along with one niece, LeeAnn Chamberlin; and three nephews, Tom Bowen, John Paul Chamberlin, and Bob Bosco and his wife, Robin.
Friends may visit the family at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool on Friday from 2-4 p.m. The Rev. Chuck Adkins of the church will conduct a funeral service at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
