East Liverpool Municipal Court for 12-13

The Review

n Municipal Court Thursday, Christopher Straight, 42, West Ninth Street, was sentenced to 30 jail days for telephone harassment. He was sentenced to 30 days for domestic violence. For driving under suspension, he was fined $150 and for swimming prohibited, he was fined $50. Charges of aggravated menacing and speeding were dismissed. Judge Melissa Byers Emmerling denied motions to recuse herself and to replace the public defender appointed previously in the case.

Donald A. Reed, 44, Carroll Road, was fined $100, sentenced to 30 days, suspended, and placed on probation two years for disorderly conduct/intoxication.

Donald R. Reese, 34, Harmony, Pa., was fined $150 and had his license suspended 180 days for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A domestic violence charge was amended to aggravated menacing against Daniel J. Salomon, 22, Weirton, W.Va., who was fined $150, sentenced to 180 days, 150 suspended and placed on probation two years. He was given 20 community service hours in lieu of the fine.

Jessy L. Goodwin, 34, Cain Street, was fined $150 and sentenced to 20 jail days for theft, with 20 community service hours assigned in lieu of the fine.

Marcus A. Prendes, 30, Iowa Street, Wellsville, was fined $150, sentenced to 90 days, 80 suspended, and had his license suspended 180 days for each of two counts of possession of drug abuse instruments. On each of two counts of driving under suspension, he was fined $100. Charges of driving on the sidewalk and no turn signal were dismissed.

Gregory A. Todd, 36, East Sixth Street, was sentenced to 120 jail days, each, on two counts of theft and for receiving stolen property. A criminal mischief charge was dismissed.

Jury trials were set for Jason E. Tice, 36, West Ninth Street, charged with endangering children and possession of drug paraphernalia, Feb. 13; Elizabeth McDole, 49, state Route 45, Lisbon, theft, Jan. 16; Matthew A. Shilling, 34, Schilling Drive, Chester, W.Va., criminal damaging and criminal trespass, Feb. 13; and Thomas E. Dennis Jr., 35, Saint George Street, endangering children, Feb. 13.

Second pretrial was scheduled Jan. 9 for Dawnyelle E. Dennis, 32, Saint George Street, charged with endangering children, aggravated menacing, leaving the scene and failure to control, with an exam ordered by a forensic psychiatric center.

Pretrials were scheduled for Donald L. McKenzie, 25, Jefferson Street, charged with domestic violence, Jan. 9 and Dustin Hambleton, 29, Y&O Road, Wellsville, charged with theft, second offense, Jan. 23.
