CHESTER - Elizabeth K. Stewart, 89 of Chester, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 1, 2013, at Fox's Stone Pear Pavilion, Chester.
Born Jan. 22, 1924, in Aliquippa, she was the last surviving child born to the late Cameron and Ida (Wheale) Kelly.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Carl V. Stewart, in 2000, and a son, Bill Stewart.
A homemaker, Mrs. Stewart was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chester where she also taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir, treasurer and PW member. She also worked as a secretary at National Church Supply and Sears.
Surviving are her children, Lee and his wife Jean Stewart of Chester, Gary and his wife Deb Stewart of Texas, and Kathy Stewart of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Brian and his wife Tabby Stewart, Stacey Stewart, Ben and his wife Nili Stewart, and Amy and her husband Chad Green. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to call at the McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner/Director, on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of her services at 8 p.m. The Rev. Mark Wilds, of the Lisbon Presbyterian Church, will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery beside her late husband.
