At 2:56 a.m. Tuesday police discovered through a random registration check that an occupied Budget rental truck in the train station parking lot on South Market Street had been reported stolen to the New Brighton (Pa.) Police Department. Police spoke with the driver, Alisa Glagolis, 53, and her husband, passenger John Glagolis, last known address Beaver Falls, Pa., and Mrs. Glagolis gave police the rental agreement which showed the truck was rented in her name and due back on Sept. 17. Alisa Glagolis was then charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth degree felony, and she was taken to the Columbiana County Jail. Her husband was taken to the Lisbon Police Department to wait in the lobby until the morning.
Sandra L. Copestick, West Lincoln Way, was backing out of the Smith Oil gas station on East Lincoln Way and struck an unoccupied vehicle owned by Gregory Warrick, state Route 45. No citations were issued since the crash occurred on private property.
