Melissa Crowl, Winona Road, Salem, reported at 9:12 a.m. Thursday a suspicious white man with a hoodie knocked on her door at 10 p.m. Wednesday looking for Wayne. When she told him nobody by that name lived there, he sat in the driveway in his car for a few minutes. He then pulled onto the road and sat in his car there for a few minutes again before leaving.
Chris Polen, 10th Street extension, Wellsville, reported at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday someone used a rock and broke the window on the side of the home to get inside. The bedrooms were ransacked, and the items missing were gold jewelry and $100 in rolled change. Blood was left behind under the light switch in the master bedroom, which will be submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Information and Investigation. Deputies also found fresh tire tracks through the yard and down the hill near a tree line.
Rose Phelps, Alderlick Road, Lisbon, reported at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday she is being harassed by people who live near her. There was a man across the road in the woods and when she went into her pasture to get her horse, he fired five shots.
Donovan Curfman of Homeworth Feed-Grain, Middle Street, Homeworth, reported at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday someone drove a black Toyota pickup between the buildings and went north along the tracks. He thinks they may be looking for marijuana he believes may be planted along the tracks.
Lydia Bartles, Spiedel Road, Hanoverton, reported at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday she was having problems with people in her driveway about three times per week, including earlier on Wednesday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anyone.
Chelsea Baker, McIntosh Road, Wellsville, reported at 10:04 p.m. Wednesday a gray vehicle pulled into her driveway, sat there for about four minutes and continued on toward Y and O Road. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anyone.
Lorainne Allison, state Route 164, Lisbon, reported at 6:25 a.m. Thursday she woke up and found a strange vehicle in her driveway. It was later determined the vehicle belonged to a visiting nurse, who takes care of Allison's mother-in-law, and had accompanied her to the hospital for a test.
