An Ohio Edison employee reported at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday she was on the phone with a customer who threatened to kill himself while they were talking about his electric bill. Deputies contacted the man, who said it was only an expression he uses often and was not going to harm himself.
Children were reported playing along the railroad tracks on Cunningham Road off state Route 344 at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find them.
Kim Rankin, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, reported at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday she found numerous unauthorized transactions on her Farmers National Bank account dating back to Sept. 26. The transactions totaled more than $500. She still had her bank cards in her possession.
Danielle Taormina, Mattix Road, Lisbon, reported at 3:19 p.m. Wednesday a problem at the campground. Her son-in-law Chad Wilson met with deputies and explained the campground is being closed for the year, as is the usual practice, and when he went to evict a man and his family on Wednesday afternoon there was a heated argument. Deputies explained the eviction process to both people involved and found the maintenance man, Robert F. Thouvenin, has a warrant from Canton police. He was taken into custody.
