CANFIELD, Ohio - Agnes L. Switzer, 90, died Monday morning, Oct. 14, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown following a lengthy illness.
Born March 31, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor Seitz Switzer. Born and raised in Chester, she then lived many years in the Washington DC area where she worked for the U.S. Army's Surgeon General's Office as a supply specialist in the logistic division. Following her retirement, she returned to the area and lived in Canfield.
She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Canfield.
Survivors include her sister, Martha Tychonievich of Salem, along with a niece, Karen Souch, and her husband Peter, of Watertown, N.Y.
Preceding her in death were three sisters, Mary Louise Switzer, Rosalia Switzer and Frances Applegate; along with her brothers, Dr. George Switzer and Joseph B. Switzer; and two nephews, Mark Tychonievich and Frank Switzer.
Services were held Thursday at Locust Hill Cemetery where Fr. Eric Antwi of Sacred Heart officiated.
Arrangements were handled by the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool.
