OHIOVILLE - Reed E. Doutt, 72, of Ohioville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at his home with his wife at his side.
Born March 14, 1941, in Industry, he was a son of the late Louis and Annabelle Doutt. He retired from Crucible Steel Colt Industries, Midland, having worked in the structural shop and later working as a boilermaker for the State of PA at several locations. A veteran of the US Army, he served as a medic in Germany. He was a member of the Oliver Tractor Club, Beaver Falls.
He is survived by his wife of the past eight years, Judy Justice Doutt; mother-in-law, Margaret Justice, Dundee, Fla.; two brothers, Louis A. Doutt, Waynesburg, Pa., Mark Doutt, Chippewa; two sisters, Arlene Hudson, Industry, Nettie (Jerry) Chaffee, Darlington; and two close friends, John Mahovlich, Industry and Kenneth Jobe, Darlington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his wife's family, and many friends.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland, where a funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow with full military rites by the Midland American Legion at Highland Cemetery.
