CHESTER - Bruce Mamon "Maynard" Haun, 59, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, and they never faltered in their dedication to him. They were at his side as he passed. Bruce had fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past seven years.
He was a son of Lawrence M. Haun of Chester and Wilma J. Stephens Haun of Enon Valley, Pa.; and Bruce was born in East Liverpool on Jan. 1, 1954.
He had attended Chester area schools, and had most recently worked at Modern Glass in Hopewell Township.

He had a great love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was pleased to see them get their first win of the season on Sunday.
In addition to his parents, Bruce leaves his loving wife, Penny Farnsworth Haun; his children, Brian Keith Haun of Chester; Amanda Haun of Vero Beach, Fla.;, and B. J. Haun of Virginia; step sons, T. J. Beabout of Nevada, and William J. Farnsworth of East Liverpool; his sisters, Debra (Skip) Hoffman of Wellsville; Robin (Todd) Temple of Chester; Stacey Bruner and her companion Melissa Jarrett of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and Renee (Scott) Matscherz of Enon Valley, Pa.; four grandchildren, 10 loving nieces and nephews and 10 loving great nieces and nephews survive as well.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2-6 p.m. today, Oct. 17 at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. The family asks that memorial contributions take the form of donations to help offset final expenses.
