EAST PALESTINE - Thomas Moore, 79, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Hospice House, Poland, where he had been for the past few days.
Mr. Moore was born Nov. 13, 1933 in Mellin, W.Va., a son of the late Glenn and Eva Pauline (Wilcox)
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as plant manager with the former Insul Co., and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Moore, Jr., of New Waterford, and Brian Moore, Boardman; a brother, Charles Moore, East Palestine; and three sisters, Mary Lou Shafer, Negley; Alice Robinson, Toronto; and Eva, of Florida and five grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford, with Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church, officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the combined units of the American Legion Post 31 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4579.
