Columbiana County Sheriff Reports 10-12

Nicole Crosser, a secretary at United Local High School, reported an accident in the parking lot at 7:31 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies spoke to 17-year-old Carrie McKarns, who said when she attempted to park near the tennis courts the brakes failed in her pickup and she struck the fence. Deputies found the brake line was broken going to the right front wheel. The fence was damaged.

Lisa Bentfield, Shady Lane, Lisbon, reported at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday a neighbor contacted her while she was at work and told her a man she knows had just gone into her house. Deputies found the man standing in a nearby driveway. Timothy Wamsley Jr. was charged with burglary and taken to the county jail.

Tracy Crooms, Water Street, Salineville, reported to a dispatcher a harassment situation at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday, but she reportedly did not return the calls of deputies who were trying to determine the nature of the complaint.

Diane Maiorana, Short Road, Columbiana, reported on Tuesday she learned someone used her debit card on Sept. 30 to purchase something online from Yoox spa, making a $236 purchase. Additionally, she found charges of $6 and $1 to Nitrosmax on Sept. 29. The card has been canceled.

Amy Moore, West Chestnut Street, Lisbon, reported at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday two prescriptions were taken from her glove compartment while she was parked at the Lisbon McDonald's. One prescription was 500 milligram Percocets with about 38 pills remaining in the bottle. The second was for 50 milligram Tramadol with 57 pills left.

Bonnie Parise, Brown Street, Lisbon, reported at 11:01 p.m. Monday her daughter is being harassed by a boy she knows. The boy has been sending her text messages and threatened to show up at her school. Deputies called the boy, who agreed not to contact the girl anymore.

Lori Baskey, no address listed, reported at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday there was an occupied vehicle on Butcher Road near the one-lane bridge. Deputies could not find the vehicle.

Emma Byers, Boston Street, Washingtonville, reported a possible domestic at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday. She said her boyfriend, Slade Brandle, came home drunk and started yelling at her. She wanted him to leave. Deputies found Brandle was extremely intoxicated and did not want to leave. She decided to go stay with a friend in Salem.

Scott Kruprzuk of JK Logging, Oasis Road, Salineville, reported at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday his company has some heavy equipment parked on Foundry Hill Road and someone stole six batteries and several feet of heavy gauge copper battery leads from the equipment.

Patrick Rowe of Ohio Edison reported at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday he has been at a Brown Street address in Lisbon to collect a past due bill or disconnect the service. When Rowe spoke to the resident, Christopher Brown, who reportedly threatened to harm him if he came onto his porch where the meter is located. Deputies went to the home with Rowe and the resident told them he had paid the bill. Rowe was able to verify it with Ohio Edison. Deputies explained to the resident threatening an Ohio Edison employee could lead to charges for menacing and utilities workers have the right to be there.
