In Municipal Court Thursday, Serena A. Jacobs, 20, New Manchester, W.Va., was fined $200, sentenced to 30 days, 28 suspended, and placed on probation two years for obstructing official business.
A domestic violence charge against Jolene M. Melvin, 57, Center Street, was amended to disorderly conduct, for which she as fined $100, sentenced to 30 days, 27 suspended, and placed on probation two years.
Larry Elkins, 22, Holiday Street, was sentenced to 120 days, each, on three counts of theft. For resisting arrest, he was sentenced to 90 days.
Brenston T. Thompkins, 18, Saint George Street, was sentenced to 60 jail days for resisting arrest. An aggravated menacing charge was dismissed because the alleged incident occurred in Saline Township and would have to be filed in that jurisdiction.
Shawn P. Woods, 41, Cornell Street, was fined $200 and sentenced to 30 days for using weapons while intoxicated.
Kenneth A. Bragg, 20, Pennsylvania Avenue Extension, was fined $100, each, on two charges of driving under suspension. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating a protection order and 45 days for resisting arrest. A stop sign charge was dismissed. He also had 60 previously suspended jail days reimposed during a probation violation hearing. He had previously been convicted of two counts of domestic violence.
Bernard L. Jenkins, 61, Warren Avenue, was fined $250 for no turn signal, fourth offense, with the court noting another offense will mean jail time.
Robert T. Stull III, 40, Pennsylvania Avenue, was fined $100, sentenced to 30 days, 27 suspended, and placed on probation two years for theft, with 13 hours of community service given in lieu of the fine.
A second pretrial was scheduled Oct. 24 for Emmit R. McComas, 39, Market Street, charged with assault.
A jury trial was set Dec. 19 for Donald R. Reese, 34, West Lancaster, Pa., charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
