While westbound on Harvey Avenue, Lacee Corradi, New Brighton, Pa., drove her Jeep off the right side of the street, striking a parked vehicle owned by Raenne M. Milner, Y&O Road. Corradi told police she reached into the back seat for her child and didn't realize the vehicle had drifted to the right until it was too late.
An officer was flagged down on Green Lane Thursday by a local attorney, who reported seeing a man in the alley behind his office, sniffing something and appearing to be out of it. Officers reported finding Steven C. Schneider, 35, Market Street, in a doorway, inhaling vapors from a can. When Schneider stood, the officer reported finding two cans of duster spray at his feet. He was charged with abuse of harmful intoxicants.
Michael A. Oliver, 45, Avondale Street, was charged Wednesday with public intoxication after officers were called to Riley Avenue for an intoxicated man. They reported finding Oliver sitting on the ground and said he had slurred speech and didnt make sense when questioned. He could not stand on his own and was taken to his residence, where an uncle took responsibility for him.
