EAST LIVERPOOL - Cheryl L. Travis 59, of East Liverpool, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. She was born in East Liverpool, on Dec. 14, 1953, a daughter of Leroy and June (Fenton) Starkey of East Liverpool.
Living her entire life in the area, she was a home maker, wife and mother. She attended East Liverpool High School.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Merriman.

Her husband, Kenneth E. Travis survives her at home. They were married Aug. 12, 1983. Surviving is a son Kenneth W. Travis and his wife, Crystal of Wellsville; two brothers, Paul Starkey and his wife, Diane of East Liverpool and Donald Starkey and his wife, Mary of West Leechburg, Pa.; two sisters, Deb Miller and her husband, Ron and Peggy Gough both of East Liverpool; and her five special friends, Scraps, Leela, Lilly, Cloe and Punkin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, with Pastor Norman Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at the funeral home in Calcutta.
