SALINEVILLE - Former East Liverpool police officer Victor L. Wolfe, passed away at his residence on McCormick Run Road in Salineville at 8:07 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013. Officer Wolfe, who was 69, had been ill for several years.
He was born in East Liverpool on March 20, 1944, a son of the late William and Ada Coleman Wolfe, and remained in this area. He was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School and had furthered his education at Kent State University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was stationed in Germany for three years. He then returned to East Liverpool and served for over 25 years with the East Liverpool Police Department, where he had the distinction of being partnered with the city's first K-9, Kai. During that time, he was also a member of the F.O.P.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a licensed ham radio operator. He was also quick to lend a helping hand to others whenever he could. First and foremost, however, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Campbell Wolfe, whom he married on Sept. 20, 1969.
Vic also leaves behind a daughter, Crystal Martin and her husband, Duane, of Salineville, along with a son, Vic Wolfe and his wife, Tara, of Calcutta. There are two grandchildren, Connor Wolfe and Kiley Rosenlieb.
Also surviving is a sister, Roberta Jean Cupp, a brother, Jerry Wolfe and his wife, Liz, and a brother-in-law, Richard Campbell. Several nieces and nephews survive as well. Another brother, Jack Wolfe, preceded Vic in death, as well as a niece, Holli Anne Cupp.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 3 p.m. up until the time of the service, which will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. with Reverend Tom Adkins of Campground Community Church. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
