Officers were dispatched Friday to East Liverpool City Hospital for a shoplifter in the gift shop and arrived to find security personnel holding down Robert T. Stull, 40, Pennsylvania Avenue. A hospital volunteer told officers Stull had picked up a glass paperweight and walked out without paying for it. Although Stull told police he planned on paying for the item, they found he had no money but after being arrested for theft, he was reportedly found to have a small baggy of marijuana. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
fter an officer reported hearing a loud motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Maine Boulevard, he said it entered Wilbert Avenue and he recognized the driver as Clarence V. Wright, 35, Denver Street. Wright had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody for it. He was also charged with possession of marijuana after the officer reported finding him with two bags of marijuana. He was also served with a no trespass notice for Columbiana Metropolitan Housing Authority property.
Kenneth Swoger, 54, Fourth Street, was charged with intoxication after officers reported him being loud and offensive to other residents of the apartments there. He reportedly failed to obey several orders to stop his behavior, resulting in his arrest.
Amy L. Corak, 34, Yeager Drive, was charged Friday night with possession of drug abuse instruments after an officers stopped to speak with her and said he noticed a syringe sticking out of her bra. Corak reportedly said it wasn't hers when she handed over the syringe.
