INDUSTRY, Pa. - Joseph Burick, 87 of Industry, died Sept. 4, 2013, in Rochester Manor. Born July 24, 1926, in Midland, he was a son of the late Martin Andrew and Dorothy P. Kirinich Burick.
A member of Saint Blaise Parish Family, he retired from the Borough of Midland where he had been employed in the street department. Joe was a gentle soul with a contagious smile; and the world's a better place because we had him for awhile.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen and Donald Burick.
He leaves behind his cherished family, brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew and Vences Burick, Midland, Thomas and JoAnn Burick, Beaver Falls; sisters, Dolores Bailey, East Liverpool, Dorothy Williams, Midland, Rose Marie Gill, Canton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 4-8 p.m. in the D.L. Williams Funeral Home, 848 Midland Ave., Midland.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Blaise Parish, Midland. The Rev. Fr. Michael Yaksick, his pastor, will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
The family graciously thanks the staff and medical personnel at Rochester Manor for their caring compassion extended to Joe and his family.
