MIDLAND, Texas - Lynn Renee Duncan McCall, 57, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.
Lynn was born on Feb. 23, 1956, in East Liverpool, to Charles and Evelyn Duncan. She spent her adolescent years in Chester, where she graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1974. Lynn continued her education by earning bachelor's and master's degrees in Special Education from West Virginia University. She moved to Dallas, Texas, where she was a teacher and later moved to Midland, Texas, and continued her love of teaching. She became an educational consultant for Region 18 for several years, taught at the State School in Pyote and also Richard Milburn Academy. Lynn authored instructional manuals that she created for use in school systems across the country. Lynn had a passion for travel, especially cruises, even taking an African safari. She loved to entertain friends in her home. Lynn was very involved in the singles class at Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Texas, where she was a member.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Duncan, and grandparents, Earl and Edith Hart.
Lynn is survived by one brother, Michael Duncan of Chester. Her affection and love for people will leave behind many friends who will miss her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
