NEW SPRINGFIELD - William D. Linhart, 85, of Woodworth Road, passed away at his home at 12:00 a.m. Monday.
Bill was born Dec. 1, 1927 in Erie, Pa., a son of the late Davis and Bertha Hall Porter Linhart. He had been employed with the Ohio Turnpike and had also been a bus driver for the South Range School District. He and his wife started the Town 'N Country Garden Center LLC and the Town 'N Country Landscaping, LLC.
He was a member of the New Springfield Church of God.
Mr. Linhart is survived by his wife, the former Gene Dailey; two sons, Gary J. Linhart of East Palestine, and J. Scott Linhart of Columbiana; two daughters, Rebecca Minamyer of New Waterford, and Billie J. Lydia of Canfield; a brother, Robert Linhart of California; and a sister Jean Tanner of Anderson, Ind.; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at the New Springfield Church of God, and for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will begin at noon, on Thursday. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Alan Leach. Burial will follow in New Springfield Cemetery.
