An officer observing traffic on Lisbon Street reported seeing a vehicle pull into the Kings gas station without signaling and a man come from hedges near the store who got into the back seat. The car sped down the alley and the officer followed, where he reported seeing two men get out of the vehicle and run down the street, including the one who had just gotten in at the gas station. He pulled over the vehicle and reported seeing the driver and passenger moving around inside. While looking inside the rear window, the officer reported seeing two syringes lying behind the passenger seat. The driver, Kimberly Beatty said she didn't know the two men who had exited her vehicle and was just giving them a ride and that they must have left the two needles in her vehicle, according to reports. The remaining passenger, Willie L. Curry, 27, Stagecoach Road, said the two men who left were Beatty's friends and he "just has sex with that girl from time to time and she was giving him a ride home." Curry denied shooting up with needles, pulling up his sleeves to show the officers. Inside the vehicle, officers also found a scale underneath the passenger seat which later tested positive for cocaine residue, and a cigarette pack with marijuana in it. Curry was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, while Beatty was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments for the needles, with the officers reporting she was asked to pull up her sleeves at the police station and both elbow joints showed scabs from "using." The report did not list an age or address for Beatty.
