EAST LIVERPOOL - Cheryln L. Beaver Crane, of Grimms Bridge Road in East Liverpool, passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 22, 2013, at the East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
"Cherry," as she was called by her family and friends, was born in East Liverpool on Sept. 22, 1945, a daughter of the late Clyde W. and Donna Jackson Beaver. She had spent most of her lifetime in this area, and had also lived in Texas and in Youngstown for a time.
A devoted homemaker, Cherry was a member of American Legion Post No. 736 Ladies' Auxiliary, and had also been a past president.
Surviving her at home is her husband, Benjamin "Sam" Crane, whom she married on May 27, 1967.
Cherry also leaves behind two daughters and one son: Cherry Stanley and her husband, John, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; Martha "Lynn" Garcia of Youngstown; and Benjamin "Pete" Crane Jr., and his wife, Teresa, of Columbiana. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was a sister, Constance Stanley; a brother, Clyde W. Beaver Jr.; and a grandson, Travis Garcia.
Private family services will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home, where arrangements are being handled.
