CALCUTTA - Jenifer A. Springer, 42, of Calcutta, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, following a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born in Youngstown on Dec. 21, 1970, a daughter of Ben and Nancy (Bock) Springer of Calcutta.
Jenifer was a Phlebotomist at East Liverpool City Hospital, last working in June 2013. She graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1989 and received an Associate Degree from the Ohio Valley College of Technology in East Liverpool. She attended the Longs Run Presbyterian Church. Some of Jenifer's favorite things were boating on the Ohio River, spending time on Babb's Island, and spending time with her friends.
Along with her parents, Jenifer is survived by, a son, Garrett Lyle and a daughter Lindsey Lyle, both at home; her companion, Charles Watts at home; a brother, Benny Springer and his wife, Andrea of Calcutta; a sister, Brandi Springer of Atlanta, Ga.; her maternal grandmother, Glenda Bock of Calcutta and paternal grandmother, Kathryn Donaldson of East Liverpool; niece, Molly Springer of Calcutta and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jenifer will be sadly missed by all who knew her for her big heart and out going spirit.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ralph Donaldson, and her maternal grandfather, George Bock.
Services will be held at the Longs Run Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen Cramer of the church officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
