CANTON - Dorothy J. Goddard, age 74, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Hanoverton, Ohio, on April 23, 1939, to the late, Joseph and Margaret Bryan, and was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Dorothy volunteered at the House of Loretto and was a caretaker to anyone she knew. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Edward Bryan.
Survivors include her husband, Don Goddard, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1965; children, Donald Goddard II, Donna (Craig) Stewart and DeAnn (Mark) Riley; grandchildren, Amanda, Maria, Devin, Logan and Leyna; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Aleah; siblings, Paul (Alice), Arthur and Carl (Sharon) Bryan, Anna Mae (Paul) Jakubowski, Sister Mary Bryan, Martha (Tom) Sevek, Lyla (Chal) Thorne and Ruth (Jim) Sevek; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her niece Maggie Stubbs for all of her love and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 16017 Smith Road, Summitville, Ohio 43962.
Burial will follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Summitville.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday (tonight) in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW.
