East Liverpool City Hospital personnel called Friday to have a man removed from the emergency room, and officers arrived to find John W. McNicholas, 38, asleep on the bed. They were unsuccessful in finding any family or friends to retrieve McNicholas, who was unaware where he was or how he got there. He was charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication and transported to the county jail.
Rickey Walton, 56, Moore Street, was cited for failure to control Saturday after his vehicle reportedly drifted right, striking a vehicle driven by John S. Danver, 27, Lyle Street, who was merging from state Route 7 southbound onto Lisbon Street.
East Liverpool City Hospital reported a man was being treated for an assault, and officers said the man refused to give any information and was not interested in filing charges.
Kim Kennedy, no address listed, reported a pit bull got loose and attacked his dog while he was walking it on McKinnon Avenue. Although the pit bull had Kennedy's dog's entire head in its mouth, there were no injuries, according to reports.
Mickie Caldwell, Bradshaw Avenue, heard someone trying to get into her rear window. Officers had removed a woman from that area just prior to Caldwell's call.
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot outside Scotty's Bar Thursday for a man down, and they found Terry W. Call, 37, face down in a puddle of blood with obvious head trauma. Call didn't know who assaulted him but thought it was over a woman in the bar. He could not name his assailant, and an ambulance transported him to the hospital.
Dollar General employees reported a woman they were able to identify took off with a purseful of items.
A caller asked for a welfare check of an East Ninth Street home where a new baby had been taken. She said Children's Services had referred her to police, and officers checked the home but found no major problems that precluded a baby living there.
Christopher J. Wallace, Bradshaw Avenue, reported being harassed by his ex-girlfriend who has been calling him and getting on his Facebook page non-stop for several days.
Susan M. Shafer, 31, no address listed, reported she and her 14-year-old son had been pushed by her ex-boyfriend during an argument over a phone. She was advised the procedure for filing charges with the law director.
