Highway Patrol for 7-10

Taylor L. Campbell, 17, Mahoning Avenue, Homeworth, and James L. Gray, 41, Carrollton, were eastbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 8:45 a.m. July 3. Campbell attempted to pass Gray who was turning left into a private drive and was struck by Gray's vehicle.

Tim R. Coakley, 50, Jackman Road, Negley, was westbound on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 1:30 p.m. July 2 and Cody L. Rader, 20, state Route 14, East Palestine, and Julie Kay Ford, 32, James Street, East Palestine, were eastbound. Rader slowed for traffic and was struck by Ford, forcing Rader left of center and hitting Coakley's vehicle. Coakley and Rader were taken to Salem Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Coakley was cited for assured clear distance.

Jackie M. Giodenco-Brown, 34, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was westbound on Alderlick Road in Madison Township at 2:11 a.m. Sunday and went off the left side into a ditch and a tree. She was cited for failure to control and OVI.

Jane M. Brown, 81, Enon Valley, Pa., was westbound on East Park Avenue in Fairfield Township at 11:10 a.m. Sunday and stopped at a stop sign at state Route 7. Chelsea M. Witmer, 21, Reckenberger Road, Columbiana, was southbound on Route 7. Brown crossed through the intersection and was struck by Witmer and overturned. Brown was cited for right of way. Both drivers were taken to St. Elizabeth's.

Tyler Scott Warner, 22, Sebring, was southbound on Knox School Road in West Township at 12:13 a.m. Friday and went off the right side into a guardrail. He was cited for failure to control.

James Carl Hunter, 26, West Main Street, East Palestine, was westbound on Chain School Road in Unity Township at 10:35 p.m. Saturday and went off the left side into a ditch. He was cited for failure to control, OVI and driving under suspension.

Preston L. Hurst, 17, South Lincoln, Salem, was northbound on state Route 45 in Center Township at 2:53 p.m. Friday and was struck by Glenn A. Knopp, 63, West Main Street, east Palestine. Knopp was cited for assured clear distance.

Ian P. Penix, 23, Hearthside Drive, Salem, was northbound on state Route 45 in Salem at 12:50 a.m. Saturday and hit a deer.

Ashley C. Pike, 63, Hoopes Road, Salem, was eastbound on state Route 172 in Hanover Township at 10 p.m. Thursday and hit a horse.

Rhonda L. Gobely, 36, Canton, was southbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 5:17 p.m. Saturday and went off the right side into a ditch. She was cited for failure to control.

Fred B. Smith, 41, Alliance, was westbound on Hartley Road in Butler Township at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Ward K. Hostetler, 68, Canton, was northbound on Butler Grange Road and failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with Smith. Hostetler was cited for right of way and Smith was cited for occupant restraining devices.

Lance M. Morris, 27, Hilltop Drive, Lisbon, was southbound on state Route 9 in Butler Township at 8 p.m. July 3 and went left of center and overturned in a field. He was taken to Salem Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries and cited for failure to control, OVI and seat belt.
