EAST LIVERPOOL - Kathy S. Abrams of East Liverpool died Tuesday, June 11 2013, at the Calcutta Health Care Center. She was 59.
Born in East Liverpool, April 23, 1954, she was a daughter of Ernie and Peggy Ross Moore of Calcutta. She worked on the drum crew at WTI and later joined the office staff there. She was a member of the Chester American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Elks while living in Texas. An active member of the Northside Community Church, she also was a volunteer and participant of Relay For Life in East Liverpool for many years. Kathy also loved bingo and always found places to play.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children: Jeremy Paterson, and his wife Valuncha, of Irmo, S.C., and Tina Hartong, and her husband Chad, of Uniontown, Ohio. There are five sisters: Pennie Cowles and her husband Craig of Indiana; Lisa Snow of Columbiana; Pam Michael; and her husband David of Chester; Lori Duck and her companion Pete Smith of Wellsville; and Jamie Moore, and her fiance Kim Nusser, of East Liverpool, along with a brother, Rick Moore, and his wife Nancy of Texas.

She also leaves a granddaughter, Charley Hartong, and a grandson, Kash Hartong as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 6 p.m. Pastor Larry Rose of the Northside Community Church will conduct a funeral service at the funeral home Friday at 6 p.m.
