EAST LIVERPOOL - Virginia R. Edgell Plumley, 83, lifelong resident of East Liverpool, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., after an unexpected complication from a fall.
Born March 26, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lewis Edgell and Hazel Esther Pollock Mosser Edgell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Eugene Plumley.
Survivors include her son, Scott Alan Plumley of Guam; a daughter, Sue Ellen Plumley of East Liverpool; two brothers, Robert L. "Jim" Edgell of East Liverpool, and Kenneth E. Edgell, of Massillon; five sisters, Dorthory Jean Tomlison, of East Liverpool, JoAnn Novakovich, of Canton, Sondra Hague, of Salem, Carolyn Pallard, of East Liverpool, and Linda Sullivan, of Springboro, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for the celebration of her life were held May 2, 2013, at the East Liverpool Salvation Army officiated by Pastor Norm Eckert.
She was accepted as a donor to the University of Pittsburgh for the advancement of medical education and research after which burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
