10:30 a.m. - No charges were filed following investigation of an accident on 17th Street. Gyndi L. Stewart, 38, of Hammondsville Road in Wellsville, was stopped at the stop sign at 17th and Main in a 2004 Jeep when Rose A. Pelly, 65, of Foundry Hill Road in Salineville, backed her 1994 GMC Sierra into the front of the Jeep, causing minor damage to it.
11:15 a.m. - Police were called to the Rich station on Third Street after Jeff Oyster, no age given, of Locust Hill Road in Chester, W.Va., called and stated he had backed a 2001 Mack garbage truck owned by Dailey's Recycling and Refuse into the open door of a 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by Eric Hunt, 26, of Hillcrest Road in Wellsville. Hunt exchanged information with Oyster but did not wait for police. The owner of the car, Angel Canfield of State Route 45 in Wellsville, was contacted by officers about the accident and told that Hunt and Joseph Canfield of State Route 45 in Lisbon, a passenger at the time, had to come to the station to speak with police. They complied the following day.
2:15 p.m. - Joseph Yager of East Liverpool came to the Wellsville Fire Station to visit Fire Chief Bill Smith. Upon leaving, Yager fell on the concrete walk in front of the station. Officers attended to Yager, who had a cut above his left eye that appeared in need of stitches. Volunteer firefighter Steve Heaton called for an ambulance, and a unit from Tri-County transporting Yager to East Liverpool City Hospital.
7:24 p.m. - Police were dispatched to 15th Street and Commerce for a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Mark A. Davis II of East Liverpool, who admitted to having been in a fight with a male identified as Christopher L. Joy of 15th Street. Both were placed under arrest and taken to the station, where they were charged with disorderly conduct and released.
11:45 a.m. - Jenna Lucas of Riverside Avenue was cited for improper backing after investigation of a reported incident on Main Street with a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu backing into the front of a 2006 Jeep and fleeing. Lucas and the vehicle were located at her residence. No damage was visible on either vehicle, though Lucas admitted to striking the Jeep and fleeing because she had no valid drivers license.
3:30 p.m. - Police responded to reports of a fight in the middle of Danbury Avenue. Officers arrived to find Chris Joy of Danbury Avenue and Brandon Speece of Commerce Street fighting with Anthony Anderson of Clark Avenue, Giovianne Garcia of Steubenville and a juvenile. A witness said that Anderson, Garcia and the juvenile were playing football on the nearby practice field when Joy emerged from his house and yelled threats to the trio, who came in his direction. No one wished to press charges. They were warned against any future altercations.
10:50 a.m. - Police responded to reports of an ATV accident by Quality Liquid Feeds. Officers located Joe Kersey of Toronto by the railroad tracks near old state Route 7. He stated he had crashed near the large tanks on QLF property. An ambulance from Tri-County was called and transported Kersey to East Liverpool City Hospital for a shoulder injury. He and a friend, John Bodo of Irondale, were charged with criminal trespassing, as the accident occurred on private property.
