James Rogers, Woodville Road, Columbiana, called deputies about a tree company wanting to cut down a large pine tree in his yard. The company's supervisor arrived on the scene and told deputies the tree would not need to be trimmed that day.

An abandoned vehicle was found by deputies on Westville Lake Road. The 2001 Toyota Echo was partially on the roadway and had an unusual amount of mud and grass hanging on and underneath it. The rear bumper was lying in the rear passenger seat, and the front bumper and spoiler were damaged, folded underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was locked with no one around. An investigation is pending.
