Stephen D. "Cake" Hayes, 58
EAST LIVERPOOL-Stephen D. "Cake" Hayes, 58, of Pennsylvania Ave. died early Friday afternoon March 15, 2013 at UPMC Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.
A son of the late Samuel Hayes, and Shirley Hayes of East Liverpool, he was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Nov. 19, 1954 and graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1973.

"Cake" had worked at Trumbel Metal Specialties as a mold operator. A member of the Second Baptist Church, he also loved to garden and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Stoffel Hayes at home, whom he married June 13, 1992.
Also surviving are three daughters, Stephanie Hayes, Janai Hayes and her companion Marcus Wise, and Janelle Hayes, all of East Liverpool. Two sisters also survive, Rhonda Jarrett of East Liverpool and Jackie Smith, of Columbus.
There are five grandchildren, Jaila, Stephen, Jadyn, Dorian and Jalayah. "Cake" is also survived by his special mother-in-law Judy Saracco of Wellsville.
Pastor Ernest Peachey will conduct a service at the church on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. when the family will be present. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery.
