LISBON - The Columbiana County Farm Bureau is offering four $1,000 scholarships to graduating students whose families are Farm Bureau members. This scholarship may be used toward college tuition, books, and other school expenses. LISBON-The Columbiana County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is holding its Family-to-Family education program on Wednesdays from 6-8 pm. at the Counseling Center, state Route 154, Lisbon. The 12-session program is for family caregivers of adults with mental illness. Enrollment is open until the April 10 session. Class size limited to 10-20 people. EAST LIVERPOOL - St. Aloysius School in East Liverpool will hold an Open House/School Registration 5-7 p.m. April 3. Families will have the opportunity to tour the school, obtain information about classes and school activities, and meet with the administration team and teaching staff. Registration packets will be available.
Kindergarten screening information will also be available. All incoming kindergarten students should plan to come attend and reserve a time for the April 12 screening. Those not able to attend the open house, should call the school office at 330-385-5963 to schedule a time for kindergarten screening.
SALINEVILLE - Southern Local School District will hold 2013-14 kindergarten registration 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 10-11 at the school. Prospective student must be age 5 on or before Sept. 30, 2013. Parents must have the child's birth certificate, up to date immunization record (5 DPT, 4 polio, 3 Hepatitis B and 2 Varicella), social security card, custody documents (if applicable), and proof of residency. The child does not need to be present for registration. Testing/screening will be held in August and parents will be notified of date and time.
