Jessica Hightower, Ohio Avenue, complained that the father of her infant was at the house, causing problems. Officers found the man walking on Saint George Street with the infant. The baby was returned to Hightower, and the man was advised to stay away or risk being arrested.
Officers responded Wednesday to an alarm at James Locke Jewelers on Fifth Street, where everything appeared secure. When the dispatcher called the alarm company to ask if a key holder was en route, the person who answered reportedly hung up without responding.

Amanda J. Scott, Laura Avenue, reported three rings missing from a jewelry box, saying they may have been taken by a person she knows.
Jason D. Youst, Maplewood Avenue, reported hearing a noise and finding the front window busted out of his father's car that he was driving.
Employees of Dollar General, Pennsylvania Avenue reported receipt of a counterfeit $10 bill Sunday.
Eric G. Cunningham, Pennsylvania Avenue, reported he was at a friend's on Trentvale Street when a man he knows began threatening him. He was advised how to file charges with the law director.
