Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 3-13

Tracy Wright, state Route 170, Negley, reported at 8:05 a.m. Monday sometime overnight someone entered her home and took her television. At 3:18 p.m. Friday, Wright had reported sometime in the past two or three days someone took a pistol, crossbow and two shotguns from her home.

Steve Morris, state Route 172, Lisbon, reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday he received a check for $3,000 for horses he was feeding and boarding. The check was returned due to a stop payment placed on the check. Deputies gave Morris a bad check packet and explained the steps for filing charges in a bad check case.

Heidi Prine, Taylor Road, Negley, reported at 3:29 a.m. Sunday a possible stolen vehicle. While checking the area for the vehicle, deputies learned of a vehicle crashed on Chippewa Trail. A man identified as Jacob Keenan was found in the area, intoxicated and belligerent. Deputies were able to get him into a cruiser and transported him back to the vehicle, which had been reported stolen. The owner of the vehicle, Anthony McMillan, Taylor Road, Negley, refused to pursue charges against Keenan. However, Keenan reported attempted to injure himself and damage the patrol car, so he was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Cindy Masters, Buck Road, Salem, reported at 1:15 a.m. Monday her 14-year-old son, who has been in trouble in both Mahoning and columbiana Counties, struck her in the mouth with the back of his hand. She eventually signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Renee Lamp, Foundry Hill Road, Salineville, reported at 11:10 p.m. Sunday her home in the woods was broken into and a 22-caliber long gun was taken.

Kerry Pitts, state Route 154, Negley, reported at 2:56 a.m. Monday possible gun shots fired from a larger caliber gun and also the sound of a vehicle, but he did not see anything when he looked outside.

Amy Johnson, Meadow Wood Drive, Salem, reported at 1:55 p.m. Friday someone hacked into her 13-year-old daughter's Facebook page and her Justin Beiber page. The girl reported received a text message claiming they would return both webpages if they do what they are told to do.

Loretta Cehrs, Francis Drive, Wellsville, reported at 4:32 p.m. Sunday someone took her grandson's bicycle, slashed the tires and then threw the bicycle over the hill.

Candace Castle, Bayard Road, Minerva, reported at 4:13 p.m. Saturday sometime Thursday night someone put a Hardees box in her mailbox, then threw hot dogs, chicken tenders and an energy drink against the house. A storm window was damaged.

Donna Ramsey, Rochester Road, East Rochester, reported at 4:33 p.m. Saturday her ex-boyfriend Darryl Phillips has been harassing her since 2007. Recently, he has been driving up and down the road in front of her house.

Scott Heiney, Seventh Street, Wellsville, reported at 2:56 p.m. Sunday his truck and trailer were parked on Parkview Road while he was working on a house there. Michelle Lingenfelter, Parkview Drive, Wellsville, reported backed from a driveway across the street and struck his trailer, denting the fender.

Billie Presley, Mahoning Avenue, Alliance, reported at 11:42 a.m. Tuesday she and her boyfriend argued and he was yelling at her wanting her to move out. He left before deputies arrived.

Joyce Patrone, Morris Road, Lisbon, reported at 2:05 p.m. Monday she and the man she lives with got into an argument four or five days ago. She left to stay with a sick friend and let things cool down. He changed the locks while she was gone. Deputies explained if she did not move her things out, she has a right to be in the home.
