MT. WASHINGTON, Pa. - Maxine L. Boyle, 93, born in Pine Grove Ridge of Mt. Washington, Pa., passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, with her family by her side.
She was the beloved granddaughter of the late William and Myrtle Lowry; beloved wife of the late James "Ed"; loving mother of Joyce (Bob) Johnstone, Jim (Debi), Barbara, Wanda, David, Richard, Christine, John, Joe, and Janice (Ed) York; and survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, and grandsons, Steven, Todd and Jim.
Maxine will be remembered by her family and friends as a selfless person who will be missed very much.
Friends are welcome 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, at WM Slater and Sons Inc. (412-381-3345), Virginia Avenue and Kearsarge Street, Mt. Washington, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville, Ohio.
