In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday a March 11 preliminary hearing was set for Joseph M. Blake, 21, Foulks Drive, East Liverpool, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wellsville police reportedly found both a marijuana roach and a clear plastic baggie containing alleged crack cocaine when they went to an Independence Square apartment on Sunday.
Thomas D. Rankin, 53, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Leetonia, was fined $1,025, had his license suspended for six months, was required 30 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense, hit skip private property and failure to control.
Logan M. Jones, 22, Salem-Warren Road, Salem, was fined $300 for carrying a concealed weapon without a concealed carry permit and no license amended from driving under FRA suspension. Jones reportedly had a large amount of ammunition and a handgun on the floor behind the passenger seat with a loaded magazine behind it during a traffic stop on Feb. 28.
Brent A. Roy, 23, Grayson, Ky., was fined $250 for driving under suspension and littering from a vehicle.
Randy A. Wyand, 21, Merle Road, Salem, was fined $180 and had his license suspended for six months for possession of marijuana and a tail lights violation.
Kimberly Ache Davis, 19, Damascus, Ore., was fined $150 and had her license suspended for six months for drug paraphernalia for two acrylic pipes in her possession on Saturday.
Candee Campbell, 40, Lisbon-Canfield Road, Leetonia, was fined $100 and required 30 hours community service for assault for punching Beau McGuire in the head several times after McGuire broke out a bedroom window to get into his home when he reportedly was locked out.
Joel E. Sofranko, 56, Worthington, and David A. Miller, 56, Cranberry Township, Pa., were each fined $100 for speeding.
Amanda L. McNee, 33, Terra Verde Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $100 for speeding.
